I think I like what I think you are trying to do; but I don't think I like how it works. I'm finding the flowers a bit too blurry and their value to be just a little to close to that ot the background. The negative space seems just a bit too self-conscious. Wish I could be more specific, because it is evocative of old Japanese flower paintings and I really like this sensibility.
