1955by rexComment by Jutilda: This is the best vintage shot I've seen. It really evokes a time - the entire image is like a capsule. This is the best entry of the challenge in my opinion. 10 |

1955by rexComment by Linden: Great find - a real slice out of time, but too grainy for me... |

1955by rexComment by JayWalk: This image definitely fits the challenge and looks like it came right from the 1955's. The use of noise in this works well. "8" |

1955by rexComment by taterbug: Nice. A good leading line that takes the eye to the auto. Good comp. I like the grain. It works well for this image IMO. Looks like it's straight from the 50's. Good job. |

1955by rexComment by digidori: Wow, you use the noise filter very well here and the monochromatic works perfectly. |

1955by rexComment by srbrubaker: I am in awe of this photo. Not only is the subject matter smack dab on, but the treatment of it emulates the style of the day perfectly: the graininess, the static treatment of the subject, the arttificial distance caused by using a short focal lenghth cheep lens, and so on. Truly inspired. |

Standing Tallby rexComment by savannahjames: I think this could've been a neat photo if it weren't blurry. After reading the description attached with it, I know why - always turn off your digital zoom!!! You can't get a good shot with it on; your photos will always turn out blurry/pixelly. When I got my Powershot, I didn't know to turn mine off and ended up taking a ton of photos at a family reunion that turned out truly awful. :) Now I know! |
