Nice idea, but you really need more light on your subject. Also, the edge of the counter in the background is very distracting. Perhaps shooting at a different angle where the counter's edge does not run through the glass would make this a better picture as well.

Interestng angle and subject, good expression. But there's lots of distracting elements here - The bookshelf in the background mainly and the flask(?) in the foreground. The shadow caused by the flash is a bit harsh as well.

Doesn't really say live music to me. The books are much too distracting a background. Onboard flash which is the work of the devil has given bad shadows and given a snapshot look. Slightly overexposed. I like the tilted composition. Seeing as you used flash, you could have closed the aperture a little and given yourself more dof (as long as you had a simple background).
