Ponder the Thoughtby msdoubletroubleComment by aimeethetoo: I like the sepia tones and your model's facial expression in this shot. It is a tad soft but that happens with these low lighting conditions...very difficult. I wonder if bringing out the blacks in Selective Color would have given this a stronger silhouette sort of look without ruining the background tones...probably not. Woe to Basic Editing! : ) |

Graceby msdoubletroubleComment by aimeethetoo: Oh what a sweet little face. Something about her eyes makes her look older her years. I like the b&w and the contrast - maybe bringing out the blacks even more would be nice. About your score...I didn't vote in this challenge but I think that a wee bit sharper focus would have given you a boost and aside from that, it's the face of a child and for some reason the voters are often harsh on pic's of children. I don't understand it either! Big heartless meanies!! |

Graceby msdoubletroubleComment by yanko: Lovely photograph. I'd prefer a little more contrast but everything else is perfect. |

Cardinalby msdoubletroubleComment by dougmc1: Great capture. Would have been a little more impactful if you could of put a little more light (or flash) on the cardinal without scaring him. All in all, very nice! |

Graceby msdoubletroubleComment by johnnyfriesen: need more contrast and greater detail. HINT: when photographing children get down to their eye-level, it improves the image dramatically. first off, they're not intimidated by a taller person with a camera, second, you stoop down to their world, and see things from their perspective. |

Ponder the Thoughtby msdoubletroubleComment by karmat: I love the lighting on this. I think, though, the focus may be a bit soft. He looks very reflective, and that makes this an emotional shot, I think. |
