I think this one was probably a little bit title-dependent to some voters - we could assume they were friends, but the picture doesn't convey that super-clearly (and DPC loves super-clear challenge tie-ins!) You mentioned that you didn't do any photoshopping - I went looking through your portfolio and some of the other shots from this photo shoot are considerably better in presentation. You've got the basics down well in this one - good light, very good with the makeup and such, and good poses (though I'm not entirely sure of the relevance of the cigarette lighting part) but it does need to be leveled, curved, sharpened at a minimum to bring out the picture. I can tell from your other work that you know what you're doing with Photoshop, so I assume you may be unsure of what is and isn't permitted in Basic editing? Anything which is applied overall to the photo (aforementioned levels, curves, brightness/contrast) etc is fine as long as it's applied uniformly (no spot editing, no masks) and in normal blending mode. Really funky house design. You might want to clean up the bottom of the picture (the fern and door frame).

I love the subject and the composition, the way the windows reflect the blues in the sky and how it all contrasts with the deep orange/brown of the wood.
However the whites seem a little blown out for me so I'm voting a 6.
