Thanks for the feedback. My reason for doing the selective desaturation was this: I'd never done it before and I figured I'd try my hand at a new technique. At this early a stage of experience, I didn't expect to do very well and that allowed me a freedom to "goof off" and just try and learn some things.

IMHO this is a good example of selective desat that doesn't really have a purpose. A totaly b/w treatment (once again MHO) would probably work better.

There's a lot tolike here, but the very arbitray selective desaturation takes this out of the candid category in my mind. The finger under his chin is oddly distracting. It would be far less so if the BG hadn't been desatted.
