Trains acomingby benhurComment by eaglebeck: I like trains. I would have used the shadow/highlights feature in PS to bring out some detail in the engine. Nice DOF and glad you were on the upwind side of the track |

Trains acomingby benhurComment by benhur: thanks for the comment Macrothing,
Unfortuntley this was taken with the camera held landscape, if I get chance I will go back again and do it held portrait to get more of the smoke in as well, as the train is moving at about 30 mph and the light was low at this time it was difficult to get a sharper shot. |

Trains acomingby benhurComment by macrothing: This looks like it has good 'pp' potential, maybe. Like the 'smoke/steam' element. Perspective is good, and while difficult or even impossible, an even sharper one, with possibly more height as well, likely give this even more drama in my opinion. Of course not so tight a crop of the 'smoke/steam', but depends on what you had to work with, obviously. |

Rail Roadby benhurComment by sarrobi: I like the leading lines and textures in this photo, but it would be interesting to see this taken from a perspective closer to the rails. If the lens was lower, I think the focus would have been more on the parts of the track that form the pattern, and less on the background, which is a bit distracting. |
