My hands are tiedby MontereykiddoComment by eostyles: Not sure how you got everything black and white except for the rope but great photo. Very creative. Would love to know how you did that... |

My hands are tiedby MontereykiddoComment by scuds: Idea is very good. But it's a bit confusing to understand if u're given little time to "read" this. Maybe if u used less cord, or if the hands were in better focus.

My hands are tiedby MontereykiddoComment by magnon: Beautiful color, I really like this. Would it sell though? I won't detract points because of that, since everything can sell. Just my thought. |

The day's end.by MontereykiddoComment by jmoore: Critique club
I love your composition here, good eye. As far as mimicing AA style, you missed the mark slightly. Ansels work is about tonal range within the black and white image, this feels a little flat. I think if the sand had more contrast to emphisize the texture it would have "poped" more. Also you may want to try cropping a little off the bottom so that the picture is not so split down the middle. The rule of thumb is to place subjects or horizons on thirds. By placing your horizon on the bottom third I think your shot would be a litte more dramatic. Overall, I think you did a wonderful job. Try playing around with cropping and levels and compare to your original. You may find that you come up with something you like more, or you will find out that your first image is what you really like. Either way the important thing is that you love your photo! Good Job, keep at it. |
