I like this shot, I think it's well composed, I like the off centered subject and the perspective of the line of the road going off into the distance. However, it's posed and feels forced in a way. I think it could have been more powerful if it felt more natural - a hitchhiker doesn't sit in the middle of the road, after all. Nicely executed. 6

Good shot and great idea, I am sure some people will think it´s off topic but I am not one of them. Only thing I don´t like about it is that IMO it´s cropped a little tight around the girl, gives off a sort of claustrophobic feel, probably what you were going for but I think I would have liked a slightly wider shot better.

Anyway, good shot, I gave it an 8.

Good shot - I like the mood that the subdued colors gives. I think I'd have got more of an idea of determination if the model was looking down the road in anticipation of possible rides - she almost looks like she's about to give up.

LOVE this picture, I feel the same way, just cross out the las vegas and put California. I really like how you actually put her on the road itself, it really does show she's determined. Toning the color down added a nice effect too.

I think you have cropped this one to much.
I would love to see it with a loooooooot of space all around.
The colors are wonderful, I love the last sun beams and the light they create. The kids almost a silhouette is just wonderful!

I love the lighting in this picture and the colors it brings up.
I feel the DOF is too shallow.
I'm no professional, but in my opinion, his picture would look so much better had the waves were as sharp as the kid closest to the camera.
It's a nice photo overall. Warm and peaceful.

Not sure about the definiton of a "road sign" but this one is definately more creative than most pictures in this challenge. Lets say 7 to start with.
