I like the way the foliage moves my eyes to the building. Such a great building, though, seems there must be better views...

I think the second assignment was to put two types of architecture in one picture..?

This is a very photogenic building but I don't see the modern counterpoint; regardless of that, this is a great shot..I love it.

In my opinion, it seems you needed to be a little closer to this house; I get the feeling it is falling away from you and there are too many distracting elements around and above it..color is very good.

You asked for blunt comments so: I hate the background, corners are bad to shoot in, and it is way too busy. Solid black or white would be and improvement. I don't care for the pose. Chairs with arms will really distract from her belly. I think standing works better. If she must sit, maybe a stool would be better. I like the fact that you used side lighting. It seems just a bit harsh. I like natural window lighting for this type of shot, with maybe a white board to reflect some light back on her darker side. A little more makeup and a hairstyle with less loose hair would also help.

I have some pregnancy shots on my profile. Feel free to look at them. Congratulations on the pregnancy, and best of luck. Take lots more pics of her pregnant. I took a lot, but I wish I took more. Hope I wasn't too harsh...just trying to be constructive.

Beautiful!! The lighting is perfect. Nice background. Focus couldn't be more perfect. I feel as if I could reach out and touch the petals. Good job!!

As photos of daylilies taken in-situ this one is a very nice example. It is helped along by the perfect DOF. Nice detail in the almost white petals. And I like the way you gave it plenty of space. (Looks like it could be Ice Carnival, and I can almost smell the perfume.)

nice lighting, a little darker i would say to bring out the highlights. also, a little sharper would help too.

It's truly a stunning image against the blackened background. I'm sure you'll get slams for the flower, but it's independence from any other blooms works for me. 7
