Mirror Mirrorby alanfreedComment by carolee: Clever, using a mirror AND showing yourself outside the mirror. The fogginess in the lower-right is distracting, but sort of adds mood, too. |

Mirror Mirrorby alanfreedComment by breezy: Is that fog on the mirror at the bottom? I found it distracting at first, but now I almost feel like it adds to the shot. Nice pic, interesting use of reflection. |

Mirror Mirrorby alanfreedComment by Gracious: I think a portrait should reveal some character, or emotion of the model, by showing expression in eyes or other facial features. Did your picture accomplish that? For sure!
artistic/creativity? Yep
Technical?fine
Overall? Good idea, well executed. |

Feathers of a Birdby alanfreedComment by mcrochip: It's off-center, but i think it could be a bit more interestingly shot. The lighting is dramatic, feather well-detailed, but I think the light at the bottom (glare?) is a bit too bright. |

Feathers of a Birdby alanfreedComment by FranziskaLang: Just one feather ;) Great idea, meets challenge. Love the focus and the fact you included a vertical feather in a landscape format photo. DOF is spot-on, really like just how smooth the background gets toward the top. Two things that could be better are the blown out white soft bits of the feather (I know how hard that's to control, I've photographed feathers myself) and - something that's easy to control - the two out of focus longest bits of grass in front of the feather. I like that there are some in the front, but those two tall ones are just that (IMHO), too tall and detract from the feather. |
