Old Meets Newby alanfreedComment by justine: I see the example your showing here. I just don't like the composition. The right side could of been cropped more. |

Around here, a sidewalk is the preferred frying utensil, but the blacktop will reach a higher temperature. I think you could maybe crop out most of the cars without losing impact. |

'Nuff Saidby alanfreedComment by BabyHeads: I love the concept of this photo, but I am not sure it was executed as well as it could have been. I think you hit the challenge of temperature on the head though. I would have liked to see a lower camera angle on the egg (closer to the road), with the egg being more of the focal point and the DOF beginning to unfocus about 1-2 feet past the egg (the yellow street lines and the cracked pavement would have told the viewer exactly where the shot was taken). The car on the left and the other thing on the right definitely distract from the photo. Just my opinion :) Like I said, this is a great concept and has a lot of potential. |

'Nuff Saidby alanfreedComment by jgal76: good idea, the egg looks like its been placed on the pavement well after cooking though with the curled up edges, would've been top notch if you could get it to look like the egg was sizzling somehow, not sure how you'd be able to do that though. |

'Nuff Saidby alanfreedComment by e301: I like the idea - but it looks rather like you put a fried egg on the road, rather than the road fried the egg. |
