Well here I am rereviewing some of my favorite shots in anticipation of our visit this week. I gave this a 6 originally but only because I'm lazy and limit my initial votes to 6 or less, which means you got my best vote and in this case I didn't revisit for more definitive evaluation. This is a beautiful compositional study and quite an amazing demonstration of a natural eye (since you are not trained in such stuff as I am). There is an element of visual excitement that is generated by the critically judged relationship of spaces and objects which here is exemplified by the quantity of space between the vase and the cat and (most obviously) by the imitative curves of the two - mockingly in the case of the cat. The comp and processing are elegent and worthy of a more discriminating croud.

It is nice but it could make a great photo from a lower viewpoint without the path and against a stunning sunset with the mountains in the background! Kind of Easter Island mystery..

Wonderful representation... love the stripes. The tilt shows a defiance and the motion an impatience, both qualities that I would have expected from Jane Eyre.
