Following up, I see your notes concerning my comment about the tilt. I can also see you were using your ultrawide, which explains why you couldn't get it with everything looking level. The distortion inherent in the lens may have been a factor. I do think the original looks more correct, as my eye is drawn to the people and landscape, not the distant ocean horizon. I usually correct my tilt first along a known vertical or horizontal line (if one exists), but then to look right to me if the first approach doesn't come off well.
