Pigeon landingby MelethiaComment by Paul: Originally posted by Kelli: Guess what?! This is my 10,000th comment! I never thought I'd make that many. First, I want to thank you for being such an inspiration, mentor, benefactor and friend. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't have stuck around here. I would have given up in frustration years ago! You are a wonderful person with a unique eye and I've lived all over the world vicariously through your vision. So Thank You Deb!
Now for the comment... This is exactly what I'm talking about! This is so quirky. Tourists, from the point of view of the pigeon! It's beautifully processed and the framing is perfect. |
What a fantastic place to put such a landmark comment. Well done on the landmark and well done Deb on inspiring people.
This is a particularly fine image. |

Ice Manby MelethiaComment by Paul: I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: Fascinating image - so rich in its presentation of colour. The degree of blur is fantastic - oodles of mystery but with maintenance of the shape of the figure. I feel we are high, looking over his shoulder; I'm intrigued by the red thing by his right foot (assuming I'm right about the orientation) - is it a pot plant? Ahead into the light, the sense of mystery is almost mystical - like a light in the woods - alien abduction dream incarnate!
Critical stuff: Nope
Overall: Very successful image. |
