Birds on a wireby MelethiaComment by shalrath: I gave this a 7 during the challenge, my only fault is that I'd like a little more colour... too much white for me. The minimalism is great however. (WARNING: Comment could be indecisive). |

Window seatby MelethiaComment by noraneko: Deb, this has a wonderful perspective and great relative size of the woman vs. the window. I'm not sure about the crop, but I do admit that the curtains in the top window enhance the green in the shutters well, so I can certainly see why you chose to include it. |

Window seatby MelethiaComment by SandyP: This is VERY awesome Deb! She looks delighted as she looks at the world outside from her window. I get the feeling she probably sits there regularly don't you? What a great urban shot. One of my favorite kinds ever!
Edit: Ooops. . I also meant to compliment you on your WONDERFUL processing! It is fabulous!

Tree, shadowsby MelethiaComment by UNTITLED: I really like this dance of shadows and the real. A very harmonious balance. Is the red portion real or PS? It's the only part of this photo that I'm not that keen on. |

Heh! I like the fact you like it for sentimental reasons more anyway! |

Window seatby MelethiaComment by UNTITLED: I didn't get a chance to comment on this during the challenge, so I'm so glad it was brought back to my attention. I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed this photograph, not as much for aesthetic reasons as sentimental ones.
It reminds me so much from when I was I child and we would go to visit my great-grandmother in Germany. She would always be at her street-front window chatting with one neighbor or another when we arrived. Before she got too old, she would bake big sheets of potato cakes and pass them out to everybody. She was a real character...thanks for the flashback! |
