Miss Emmaby MelethiaComment by BeeCee: The DOF is absolutely perfect, to get her ears in focus but drop off immediately beyond. Totally lovely. |

The Holy Terror Catby MelethiaComment by BeeCee: I love it :)
The lack of detail on his right reminds me of Japanese paintings, where a few simple lines imply a great deal of form. What detail there is on the left lets our mind "fill in the blanks". Great job with a tough model subject! |

1.52 Smoke breakby MelethiaComment by tnun: I have spent some time looking and thinking about all 3 versions. I really just like them all because it is a really telling shot any whichway. The original is not blah - the sepia foreground tones are lovely and warm, and the green theme in the opposite windows serves to separate them from and avoid competing with the main foreground composition, and also provides a little information; on the other hand the bws look like classic war journalism - the first subtle, the second having a nice clarity. Definitely a Photo of the Year. |

6.52 Nice dayby MelethiaComment by trevytrev: I like the shadows and light in this shot. I actually like this version better than the re-edit, this has more mystique to it. |

Rocks acidby MelethiaComment by Sachlichkeit: I love this edit. It looks like a color Lith process with the harsh highlights and shadows, and is very dramatic |

Birds through treesby MelethiaComment by lovethelight: This is really cool, it is difficult to tell if the trees are in front of or behind the birds, normally foreground blurring is really distracting but here it emphasizes the sharpness of the birds. Very cool |
