6.52 Nice dayby MelethiaComment by undieyatch: Graphic black contrast of the top dark weight of the trunks - slicing into cement, like a broken comb - more detailed, bench & man walking the dog, brought up enough, but still subordinate to the light, all balanced w/the unseen tree canopy creating wonderfully lacy, shadows upon the sidewalk.
A interesting file to start with - I like this rendering. |

6.52 Nice dayby MelethiaComment by pawdrix: Nice capture of shadow and light. I like the shadows that the branches cast but the trees have an over-burned look (I did see D&B's not mentioned in your notes). |

6.52 Nice dayby MelethiaComment by salmiakki: The very strong shadows make this really interesting. I like the simple white border it works very well. How nice to see some sunshine! |

6.52 Nice dayby MelethiaComment by Ken: I really like those shadows created on the ground and the of course the person and dog. I think a bit more detail in the deep shadows would make it even more interesting. |

2.52 The colonyby MelethiaComment by Ken: The pink is certainly nice, but this one seems to have such a different mood to it. The B&W doesn't look quite as cheerful as the color. |

Transportationby MelethiaComment by Ken: This is really cool, Deb. I like how your subject stands out against the lighter road. What makes this photo for me is how you chose to take the picture from behind, where typically it would be with him coming towards you. The fact that he's alone on a bike in a street full of cars just seems a bit sad to me.
I'm becoming quite the fan of converting to B&W in RAW also. The only time I won't do it is when I'm doing color or not sure if I want color or B&W. |
