Castle entranceby MelethiaComment by dsterner: castle tours like this really give an American a feel for "true" historical buildings. I sat for hours on a brick wall in Worms staring at the Dome St. Peter imagining all the history that went with each brick. |

There is a lot of detail in this shot to pick through , like the water traffic, and the multiple rail lines, the terraces on the far bank, along with it's houses and road.
What at first looks like a big open landscape is actually busy and bustling.

Across the riverby MelethiaComment by Schmeldontino: I passed right by this castle a couple of weeks ago...I went to Germany with my brother's soccer team, so of course I heard lots of comments about "Assmanhausen." We took a Rhein cruise, but didn't stop in any castles. Beautiful photos! |
