First I saw this sea of humanity in a museum. Then I saw this huge white face looking out, and the whole scene was transformed. It's like the picture was grinning at itself... aw hell, who am I kidding, it was laughing at me! But good-natured laughter, I'm sure. Transformation, recognition and unrecognition, that's what separates this from a tourist snapshot.
