Nice to see who the shooter was on this shot. I was tempted to ask for validation, but I didn't. I thought the flip flop might have been a separate photo and cloned into the shot as a layer. I thought this due to the processing. It was the highlights on the person's arms and legs and the shadow cast by the shoe that made me think the light was a little different on each item. I ended up voting a 7!

Love this shot. The earth tone colors, the DOF, the extra sharp appearance. Wonderful job. Also, the glimpse of the creek is one of the things that really stand out, making the picture that much better. Without it, "up the creek" wouldn't have been AS fitting. But it's a perfect euphemism for this shot. Beautiful! 9

A closer look at the heron would have improved this but only a little - the detail, even at a distance, is sharp and viewable. Like the concept, like the title and like the tonality of the picture. Nicely done.
