Excellent. Other than period issues (that boat would have been COOL if it was an old log raft)... I think the image is very nice. Processing here leaves me feeling as though I'm looking at a very well done painting, and while it doesn't exactly evoke the grandness of the Mississippi, it's certainly coming very close to the hopes I had for this challenge.

Comment Challnege: While not a literal interpretation, I believe this definitely captures the tone of Twain's book. A lazy day, a lazy river, golden sun and blue water, a little hamlet on the far shore. This has nice lines leading the eye into the picture.

6...I see the connection for sure. A nice and quiet sort of image. The color seems off to me...on my screens it has a purplish tint and I'm not sure if it was intentional or not.
