Congratulations Robert. I can only imagine how you feel; a FS ribbon with a bird! Lovely image with a high capture difficulty. Postcard pretty and all the right flavours for this time of year, red and snow. From what I gather a typically iconic American bird. Had I had a chance to vote in this FS I'd have awarded a 9. My assessment concurs with jjstager2 and glad2badad.

Robert - I really enjoyed this photo. Well deserved placement in the end results. I like how you have the birds attention, but not so invasive that it's going to spook (although it's probably relatively "warm" and didn't want to move unless it had to). :-) I gave it a 9, the only thing holding back the 10 was the signature of man in the photo (the fence post and slats).
