Interesting. I think what may have helped this image is if the background or some other reference point was in focus. Must have been a really slow shutter! Dog looks familiar. :)

Wow. Shiny. But there are no TACKS in this image! ;) I think it may have been improved if the tacks were blue or red - the clear somehow gets lost. Was this converted to B&W? Nice job with the focus and the tonal range. 7 from me!

It's a well exposed and it certainly meets the challenge, but there's nothing to grab onto. It's all texture and confusion. I don't know it there is some effect that might make the photo more interesting: oversharpen it so the texture is surrealisticallly sharp, or up the contrast so it is likewise too punchy. As it stands it strikes me as having nothing to grab my interest, and I am someone who oohs and aahhs over peeling paint.
