This is a great pic, but not sure it would have done better than your entry. Beautiful landscape, but seems to be missing....something. The human figures ( I think ) are so far away they dont' really provide scale. Maybe if there had been some kind of shell, driftwood or starfish...something like that in the lower right, this pic would have done super.

I really love this shot. You were obviously not afraid to use grain and I think it worked well. You can almost feel the brittleness of the fallen branches. I hope you do well in this challenge, I think you should.
