It must have been a very cold morning!! Not only does the human have a coat but the dog does too!! I like the strong vertical moving back and forth through the center of the image. (please excuse my spelling) I think the vinetting (corrections are welcome!) at the corners worked well with the darkness of the image to help enhance the feeling of cold. Excuse me I need to put on a jacket...for some reason it got cold in here all of a sudden! I think the horizon also helped because it anchored everything in place and brings impact to the image with the red, white, and blue. I also like the reds working together just before the intersection of the verticals and horizontals with a very pleasing effect! The blacks and reds in the vertical are also outstanding. Just a brilliant composition...very well balanced!!

I felt the background color just wasn't there although I think the choice of light background very a wise choice as the dark areas in the image would have been lost and I really do like the reds and browns in the image as they help to offset any negative aspect from the background. I also like the edging you did. I think you did an excellent job on this in the post processing!

Ahh, I love your processing on this Robert!
How weird is that, I'm in two challenge photos in the same week; will never happen again!

I love the foregound detail and lighting in this one. I'm a little bugged by the slight overexposure in the sky, but that's forgivable, especially in basic editing when 2 raw conversions can't be combined.
