Your subject is not very interesting. The Woodies are hard to handle in photography, if you use them you should make sure that it results in something unusual and unexpected. On the technical side, your subject is lit too flatly and casts distracting shadows on the background. (You can prevent this by moving the background further back.) The picture might also profit from a stronger contrast, it would add to the nice textures in the wood. 3.

Had this one rated high as well. I liked the flow of the composition and the break in it + the light + the texture. Especially the rusted circle in the form of the half crescent moon did it for me. It adds that extra bit of oomph to the composition.

Very nice photo. One of the best. The colour contrast is very intense. The right mix of red green and blue with a tought of white. Texture is really good. Very well framed. The rusty thing reminds me of red cresent... and it's red!!!
I predict a very good finish.
