His hand could have been posed better. It looks like a stump. The general rule is not to pose hands so the back or front is fully facing the lens.

Wonderful photo and yes in some ways it is a self-portrait. Maybe in the most obvious ways it does tell of you but I always like a little more than the obvious. :-) This is my blue ribbon winner.

Very unusual talent to photograph, I really like the set-up and the easy expression of the model. Only part that bothers me are the hands, it looks like he is holding a tool but on first glance thought it was a big funny thumb and the lower hand maybe should stay postioned behind the table. 7

I for one appreciate the grain. I'm sure you're taking a hit for it. I'm taking a huge hit for my blur effect. This is an example of a gimmick that is so good it transforms into art. I feel like I am both standing outside of you and standing inside your camera at the same time. In fact, I also feel like I'm standing in your moccasins.
