Beach-hyper.jpgby Bear_MusicComment by Melethia: You really need to watch where you buy your mushrooms... But it does have a lot more interest to it than the original. Kinda nifty. |

Jim Talin, Master Bookbinderby Bear_MusicComment by Jaded_Housewife: I havent really gone through your portfolio thouroughly before as i'm not a huge landscape fan and I was amazed by this photo during the challenge but I also just found your photos "Gretchen, Mark, Rosie Jack — 3 Generations in Sunset Light" and "Happy Winner". All three of these are beautiful. I know landscape and floral are your confort zones but I REALLY love your portrait work. I hope to see more of it in the future. :) |

Full Moon, Sunrise, Chatham Lightby Bear_MusicComment by Prism: The left antenna may have .25 angle to it but the lighthouse itself, going by the sides of the window housing looks perfectly straight to me. I like the pverall effect of the vignetting. I also like that your exposure keeps detail showing in the moon and still allows the shadowing around the shape of the lighthouse. |

Full Moon, Sunrise, Chatham Lightby Bear_MusicComment by SDW: I think the composition works and it a very nice photo. I do agree on a slight rotation. I wouldn't want the moon any closer to the light house because the separation shows me two beacons of light. One man made and one natural both of which a sailor can navigate by.
Just my 2 cents.
Great Job Robert! |

Full Moon, Sunrise, Chatham Lightby Bear_MusicComment by strangeghost: Two suggestions: try to bump the exposure for the moon down a bit. Probably very difficult under the light you've got since any less would woefully underexpose the lighthouse. (but hey, work your RAW magic Robert!). Second, pop your 70-200 on and get a larger moon and a tighter comp with the lighthouse. The photo will increase in appeal as the angular size of the moon increases.
My kind of shot! |

Mudflat, Pebbles, Shells — Sundownby Bear_MusicComment by crayon: the amount of details and colour is amazing, keeping my eyes busy in a good way. I also liked the distortion, it makes the photo appear more interesting at first glance.
And oh, congrats on the 5th placement!
