"Where's your ball?"by Bear_MusicComment by yanko: This may just be me being pessimistic but I feel voters in general don't care about stories in photographs especially when accompanied by a title that tries to explain part or all of it. I'm pretty sure had you just showed the dog's face and gave it some profound or poetic title your score would have fetched a higher score. Lame pun, I know! |

A Man and his Dogby Bear_MusicComment by karmat: The post processing of this kills it for me, sorry -- it is way too much, I think. The composition is good, and it would be interesting to me so see what it looked like "before." |

"Where's your ball?"by Bear_MusicComment by tnun: It almost works. Two problems IMHO: the background is slightly too contrasty/busy and the ball is either too subtle or not subtle enough for the idea to come across. And overall the colours are not DPC- pleasing. I like the idea and the dog. (Only because you asked). |

"Where's your ball?"by Bear_MusicComment by colorcarnival: I did love the processing. The details in the fur are excellent and I love the background. It's like a rippled sea of grass - quite beautiful! Beyond that, I did not feel this story was showing me all that much. Without the title, I'm just looking at the back of the dog's head. I don't know if it's just sitting there or waiting for some action. I would have preferred to see it's eyes. I find that dogs speak volumes with them. :) |
