it's funny that you felt compelled to justify the grain in your title! this is a nice portrait with very nice lighting. i like the old style santa suit, too. good job.

I'm sure it has significance for you but I didn't feel "1964". Pretty little girl.

Not sure this really fits the challenge and the title detracts a lot. Personally i feel that if you have to explain your pic in a title than that should be an indicator that you are not getting your intended message across.

I may have given this an extra point if it didn't have the explanation about the grain in the title... :)

I really like how the colors stand out in this photo...the skin tones, the lovely blonde hair and the red velvet. Nice expression. I've got to admit that I don't like your title. Yes, the grain is appropriate and not overdone. Looks good.

your title made me laugh! yes, many may vote down when they see grain and noise in photos (in DPC anyway). a little comment on the model. she appears a little too rigid (is this a fake prayer?) and maybe the effect would have been better if her eyes are closed and head tilted down. just my personal opinion here, and sorry if she's your daughter or something, coz I'm just trying to be honest about what i think. but i'm just a novice, so... hehe

I like the way you describe your photo in the title. I know we need to be able to leave a comment so some can understand where we are coming from and not worry about whether they think its the subject matter for the contest in their eyes. 7 with a bonus point of 1 for the title.
