Nice comp, but as you must know, the soft focus ruins it. Perhaps try backing off a little, then crop to the desired size.

This kind of shot just has to be sharp and in focus. Composition is also too central and would be more effective if you panned over to the left and slightly upwards.

Composition: I would have preferred the flower centre to be on the top-right third intersection.
Technical: Unfortunately the eye is instantly drawn to the flower centre, which is slightly out of focus.
Meets challenge: Some people may mark you do for being able to see a background.
Overall impression: Nice subject, but somewhat lacking technically.
