This shot has many things that work for it. The colors are great,and I like how the rocks open up to the sea then streaks in the sky lead back to the sun. The rock in the middle looks out of focus, though and it really detracts from the overall quality of the shot.

I'm hoping to leave comments on as many photo's in this challenge as possible... out of (currently) 1115 images, I gave 94 of them an 8. Your image was one of those 94, placing you well within the top 10% for this challenge.

Lots of sunset pics in this challenge, but this is one of my favourites.The lower sky has a lovely warm glow, the upper sky a completely contrasting deep blue. There is just enough foreground detail to keep some interest, the the water looks tempestuous. Nice shot.

Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge.
