Nice background - makes me feel like I'm looking at a catalog: here's the prime example of our stock. :)

Also nice use of the thirds rule.

Ahhh, streaking plates, one of the lab skills I found hardest to acquire. Ironic I'm looking at this photo for the first time right after streaking some E. coli transformants. Beautiful plates, and I like the blurred background :)

Sorry but that has nothing to do with communication.

Religious themed photographs don't tend to do well on DPC, and I'm betting this shot is no exception, but feel free to let me know if I'm wrong. Now, *I* don't have a problem with it, but I *do* have a problem with the cross on the bible page. To me, it ruins the feel of the photograph, the light it is reflecting is harsh and distracting, and I don't think it really serves a purpose for the challenge (you filled that role with the bible). It might, to other people, also come across as the preachy straw that broke the camel's back. Nice lighting on the page, and good clarity and DOF. Get rid of the cross, and it would be a higher vote from me.

Thanx for the picture... :)
only one thing - maybe a little more of it could have been in focus.

Very nice. At first I thought it could have used a bit more DOF, but it is good the way it is! I like it!

I think you should have cropped this one so that it was only the top half. It would be much more effective that way, because there is too much going on like this.

Maybe use the longer plants to hide the phone poloes and lines in the background of the upper right corner. Also isolate one plant more and use the rest for background coloring. That would show more detail and not just a lot of yellow color.

Rape seed/Canola.... I like the powerline in the background! Reminds me of southern Alberta!
