I suspect maay won't like it, but I always find that this depth of border adds a certain sophistication to a shot. There is some capture of mood here, and ths lishgtly unorthodix composition is well done, and effective.

This is a nice capture but the compostion with the walk way ending in the middle throws me off. I think hitting the walkway at the end of one of the rule of third spots would have made this shot even better. (7)

The sky is too much burnt out to white and if it wasn't this photo would be great. It's not bad, but this burnt out sky is dragging the photo down. Maybe you should have pointed your camera more down, so the horizon line wouldn't be cutting the photo in half as it is. I like how the pier is placed in it and the birds are adding very much. I like the big white frame, no matter what others may say about it.
