Spiritsby ubiqueComment by notesinstones: I love this, it makes me ache for home in ways I can't really explain. Pulls me in and leaves me wistfully soaring with the birds, excellent job.
Edit to add: Not that I am from your part of the world, but that I grew up living on water and spent years of time sitting at the end of a dock like this one writing and swimming and drawing... Message edited by author 2006-02-08 14:56:18. |

Spiritsby ubiqueComment by eostyles: Nice shot and very peaceful. I really like how the birds are blurry showing motion. Great job. |

Spiritsby ubiqueComment by sigrun_th: I like this one very much, very good composition and the gray tones are very good - you can feel the force of nature, heaven and earth |

Spiritsby ubiqueComment by bucket: A beautiful shot..not a DPC jump out at you kind, but a look and linger shot. Nice work. |

Spiritsby ubiqueComment by Dax-: Awesome! Not always the rules of thirds is the best the choice, and this is an example! I can imagine this on a calendar, it would be great! :) |

Spiritsby ubiqueComment by dragonlady: I didn't know this was your image...the image is strong..I like the line of the dock leading your eye directly into the middle of the image, also the b&w gives it a simplicity of message. You were wise also to use a slow shutter speed to allow the gulls to suggest flying birds; perhaps they are the spirits. |

Spiritsby ubiqueComment by dahkota: Well, I still don't like the border too much but I completely disagree with the rule of thirds idea. The power of the composition lies in its current placement. Should have score higher... |

Spiritsby ubiqueComment by tsheets: Rather calming shot. With the bright light in the background, I'm surprised the shutter was opened long enough for any motion blur. |

Spiritsby ubiqueComment by CalliopeKel: Great black n white study. I love the use of tones. The border really sets it off. Nice. |
