I gave this a 4. The toning worked well. The main criticism I had was that the 'road' was not the main subject and the main subject was trying to portray a 'mood' (melancholy, etc) that is, not my 'preferred style'. Without the 'subject' I would likely have scored this higher.

This has an odd gothic quality. I'm not sure that was the intention but I rather like it. There is an overall sameness to the tonal range that I don't care for, mostly because the wolf is almost lost in its surroundings. There is some interesting play of light in the trees but it isn't quite strong enough around to create the dramatic contrast between light and dark that seems to be called for here. An interesting entry and I appreciate it.

At first I didn't like how dark this is but then realized that's what gives it this menacing feel. The scar on its right eye is really distracting to me...I would've preferred it to be cloned out.

What fantasy was turned into a reality here? I don't see how this fits into the challenge at all. As fro technicals, it appears over-sharpened, and lacks compostional interest.
