Comment by togtog:
Yes, togtog did indeed screw up the photo by playing with the contrast settings in Paintshop with a misconfigured monitor. Oh poo...

I'd think a dog would see in higher contrast...

At first I didn't get it, I thought you were making a comment on the guy. Now I do :-) it's a dog's point of view, which is interesting. However the photo itself is not extremely attractive to me. The contrast is the firs thing that gets me, as everything looks pretty much the same grey. Also this angle is not particularly flattering. I would have suggested cropping more off the left side, maybe to the other side of the far doorway?

an interesting idea. this time we have switched perspectives so it is the dog taking the portrait of the human. :) photographically, it's well done. the only place it could use some work is in the levels adjustment to increase the contrast of the shades

The dog is a great photographer. He has s a nice soft focus but he could have cropped out most of the left side looking at his photo. He shouldn't have cropped off the top of your head. It is a portrait of you that he took. Remind him you are the subject, not what's on the table. That's what he wants. But I'd still give him a 7 for his photo, possible an 8. PTL

interesting idea, but this picture doesn't seem very visually appealing to me. The background (which makes up much of the shot) is uninteresting and somewhat distracting. The facial expression is good. I'm not sure if a dog's perspective was the best choice for a portrait shot, but I'll credit you for being more unique than most entries. 5

Don't let your low score discourage you from entering again. It's all about learning anyway.
