I like this shot. It gives the impression that it's telling a story - could be a frame from a movie. The down-pour and the expressions on the kids faces create interest. This would have done much better in a photojournalism challenge - Free Study's can be brutal. I agree with your choice to leave the mailbox in the crop. If you removed it then it would not be clear that these kids are on a road. Nice capture.

Very nice lightning capture. I like the way it appears to be reaching out from behind the tree.

The detail on the smaller filaments is great. Nice dynamic range, without a lot of manipulation.

Although I find the one with the wires interesting in its own right, I like this one a bit better, and it's a shame you weren't allowed to edit the wires out.

Nice idea for the challenge, I think it lacks a bit of impact through a bit too much negative space within the image which might have been a factor on the end result. Ever seen the film "Strings"? would recommend it if you enjoy the whole concept of puppets...

I imagine it's tough taking photos in the rain: I wouldn't know. I'm wondering if that is why it looks slightly blurry to me? But anyway, that's a lot of rain!
