I originally gave this a 4 as I struggled to see how it met the challenge even though I thought it was a lovely shot. However, I've been convinced to revisit some shots and this is one where I believe I missed the true meaning of the shot. The colours are lovely, the reflection great and the composition was perfect. Bumped to a 7

It don't mean a thing if I can't hear a thing. I want to be there in person. I love frogs and critters that make sounds I can't even discribe. I would have enjoyed the moment of sound had it been taken at dusk or dawn when the insects and such belt out in resounding song. This is a great tranquil scene and I want to go sitting in that bench on the right but after twelve votes, I am waiting for someone to make some noise. Good luck. PS I had to read the title before grasping your notion of sound vs caption.

lol - you're right. I remember thinking the soldier/horse combo and the perspective is similar during the voting. Didn't realize it was with an A700 as well :) Congrats on yet another ribbon.

And thanks for your pointer about recovering images from the CF after they're deleted. I now have the software required - should I need it in the future.

I'm afraid this shot was more about the coffee pot, than the challenge it's just a coincidence there is a boy in it from the knees down in the background, he doesn't add to the picture at all.
