Meets the challenge theme beautifully, and a gorgeous capture on the whole. Unfortunately, the processing is a bit heavy-handed for my taste. But it's still a personal favorite in this challenge for me.

Hi. Thank you for the inquiry. To answer your question, no, no gradient applied. The fly was in the middle of an asparagus plant and there was an overcast sky, so I think there was some "glow" from the surrounding plant. Actually, I did use some desaturation on the wings as I did notice the green cast. Again, thanks for asking.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but you seem to think it is on other photos.
And no, I did not use green gradient on the whole photo, only on some of it.
