I don't know what plant life that is but it is incredibly unique looking and has alot of interesting detail! Love the bold colors of yellow that pop off the cobalt blues. Love the details I see in the interior of the 'eye'. The composition of objects and the color almost takes on the aspects of this being a 'golden eye' nebula found in the deep reaches of space. Love the square crop because it keeps my eye's attention focused on the main subject.

Oh, what a beautiful image, the subject and composition are really superb. Now, let me explain why this is getting a 5 instead of an 8 from me (I hope you will understand) - The image appears oversharpenend- primarily the white and black parallel lines inside the flower, there is a blocky/noisy look to them that is just a shame, and the lower petal where it meets the water has the same blocky look. Also, the frame is way too heavy, I like the yellow and black, but much lighter weight would have added elegance, this however really just doesn't do anything for the photograph..

Still, very nice image overall, different PP would have made a big difference.

Very nice detail on the pond lily. I might have tried to clean up the water some....extra noise reduction on just the water maybe to get rid of the imperfections. Very good colours.
