Startling. The light is absolutely brilliant ... I love the effect of the near absence of the middle ground; at first glance it makes the background dune hover in the sky. Bump: 8.

A very good photograph, beautiful colors and well balanced composition. I do find it rather soft. It's my experience that using small apertures with this lens tends to result in soft images.

The picture is really lovely, but I think this is really a stretch for fitting the theme. "Old" isn't what comes to mind when I look at this. I would have given it an 8 or 9 if it really nailed the theme.
