Pull Overby TelehubbieComment by Telehubbie: For those that wondered how I did it, here ya go:
It was a model of an F-117 that I hung with thin 2 pound fishing line from a board tied to the roof-rack of my car. The parabolic mirror helped with the illusion to make it look farther away than it really was, and made it impossible to see the fishing line. It really was only about 3 feet or so away from the mirror.
I used black electrical tape to tape the fishing line to the model so that it would blend in to the model and using 2 lines I was able to keep it from twirling around and keep it (sort of) parallel to the car.
The highway that this is on was busy that time of morning, so I had to park right next to the sign which didn't give me many composition options, and I had to hold the camera low inside the car and just shoot without being able to see in the viewfinder to get everything in view. A lot of trial and error. Message edited by author 2005-12-12 12:45:19. |

Pull Overby TelehubbieComment by ergates: Cool with the aircraft in the rear mirror! But I have no idea what the roadsign is supposed to mean? |
