Frostbiteby HoddssonComment by CalliopeKel: I really love the red rose....but the pink ones in the background distract me. I would have preferred them to be red also. 7. |

Ducks waking on the orange riverby HoddssonComment by Pedxer: This is a really appealing photograph and it is without a doubt a keeper, that said I am really disappointed that this challenge topic is wasted with a photo that seems more suitable in an open challennge or something. Put in other words, this shot isnt wierd enough. |

Party for more than twoby HoddssonComment by Tammer: For me, I think this would would better froma slightly different angle. Something that wouldn't place the candles and chandelier in the dead center. I like the lighting on the table and the shadows. |

Ducks waking on the orange riverby HoddssonComment by Longreach: Autumn (or Fall) up north. So many images of trees going to sleep. But this one I liked more than most. The colour is magic, the foreground makes the image come alive and the water of course sets it off so well. I think you have captured a really good shot here. Thanks. |

Party for more than twoby HoddssonComment by Olyuzi: I like the elegant indoors setting matched against the outdoor scene very much. However, I think the lighting could have been improved greatly. For one, I think you should have photographed at a different time of the day when the sun wasn't directly behind one of the walls and creating a glare on the water and dark shadows on the table. Maybe photographing at sunset when the sky had more color would have made it more interesting. Also, the walls and table are quite dark from those shadows created by the sun and I think either using fill flash or a slow synch flash setting where you meter on the outdoors would have shown more of the detail on the table and walls and made for a more attractive picture. Also, I think shooting at a different angle of view so that the outdoor scene showed more of the trees and grass of the marsh, like the window on the left, would have improved the shot. Finally, I think you should have removed the chairs against the windows (not the ones at the table), as they create clutter. |
