Nice work on the panning. I think the masks on the wall are distracting I'd like to have seen it as a tighter crop.

Maybe a little faster pan or slower shutter speed would have helped this by blurring the (fairly uninteresting) background a touch more. Also, I'd love to have seen the actual vault itself. That could have looked really cool.

There's just not a lot of background blur on this image. To make a truly succesful "motion panning shot", you need to run the shutter at a much slower speed than you would normally use and then, as accurately as possible, follow your subject with the camera (that much you appear to have done well, you just needed a slower shutter speed to blur the background).

I am so pleased to see this here! A wonderful image of what must have been a wonderful woman. This image is so real and shows a lovely smile and pose on a beautiful lady. Knowing the sadness this year has brought you and the emotional attachment you must have to this image I want to say how proud I am of you for sharing this with us.

I know another DPC'er who entered a very personal image in another challenge and received some hard comments,I don't know if this applies to you but if at any point it does just stop yourself from shedding a tear and remember something you and your Mammaw used to do together. Hang on to your happy memories. Thoughts and prayers are with you and yours x
