The set up is nice, however, it doesn't look very appitizing. For one, a solid colored plate would have been more appropriate, I think. Another, I believe is the lack of lighting. Everything seems to have a yellow hue to it.

7 - For me this would be a better shot if the perspective of the wave was better. Closer of the surfer, or again, just a different perspective. I do like the colors, the wave color matches his shorts, if you could have taken advantage of that, maybe even just in a different crop. In my opinion, the only way to get a really good surf shot is to be out there with them.
