I like the idea of this. The lighting is spot on. My only complaint is the crop. I'd like to see the tip of the fern and the whole blossom of the rose.

This photo was taken at around midnight. The room was painted yellow and lit with compact fluorescent and tungsten lamps. It was intentionally set the colors to be in the afternoon near sunset hours.

The plate was somewhere out of focus and subject was unbalanced. DOF on the brie was uncontrollable, while the light needed to be dim to capture the bohkeh effect, which made it hard to distinguish the colors of cheese and wax. This even made color correction a challenge.

After cropping, post production included sharpen, lighten, apply image and color adjusted from deep red orange to pale yellow.

Yes, somewhere on the cheese is out of focus... I was hungry for the creamy brie and I got a little drunk from the wine. ;-)
