Having said that I have seen a number of nice portraits crash and burn in Free Studies so I guess it may not be so surprising.

For what it's worth this is still a really nice portrait and worth a much higher score. I gave it a 9 during voting.

She looks almost like Alanis Morisette. I don't understand why you would hide her face behind the hair like that. I don't really do portraits so maybe that's the thing to do now. Love how you brought out the color of her eyes.

A very nice portrait that would be easy to overlook at thumbnail.

I'm not sure whether I like the hairstyle but that might just be jealousy because I don't have enough hair to recreate it myself :- ) but as an overall picture I think it's delightful. The lighting, softness, gentle colours, all of it quite delightful.
