Approaching Middle Ageby RanklesComment by foxinsox47: An outstanding photo! Exquisite focus. B&W was definitely a wise choice. The expression on the cat is marvelous; being in middle-age myself, I can certainly see myself (at times) mirrored here. My only reason for not giving this a ten (and it's a bit churlish of me, but this *is* about the Rule of Thirds, after all) is that I think this should have been cropped to move the cat to the right just a tiny amount: a little too much brick is showing. The eyes are a little off the grid nodes, which is really a petty complaint, but there it is. Still and all, this is a wonderful photo :-) |

Rolling Hillsby RanklesComment by Dave Gordon: I like the rolling hills and greenery, but those straight lines in the sky are distracting. The sky could have been cropped quite a bit to make a stronger statement of the landscape. |

Rolling Hillsby RanklesComment by Titia: Personally I think there's too much sky, it takes your eye away from the green. I would've cropped out at least 2/3 of the sky. Nevertheless it's a nice green landscape. 6 |

Rolling Hillsby RanklesComment by Lena: I like this, but I think you could have cropped it a little tighter at the top i.e. there is a little too much sky which is a bit distracting |
